By trade I'm a machine learning engineer; in practice I wander into whatever the problem needs — training a model, standing up a product, losing an afternoon to SEO like it's a personality trait, or slowly teaching myself sales and marketing. Off the keyboard, I'm helping my wife keep the house in order and (bravely) learning to cook.

Lately I'm trying to climb out of the tech bubble and actually understand the problems non-technical people run into every day — the unglamorous ones that tech could quietly solve. That's the goal: find those problems, solve them, and hopefully earn a living on the way. mahajob.in was my first crack at it.

Now and then I disappear into a deep learning paper that catches my eye. This site is mostly where I think out loud about data science — ideas, methods, papers worth a read, and the occasional "here's a thing I didn't expect."
